Tambourah Metals extends shallow gold strike with RC program at Tambourah King

West Australian exploration company Tambourah Metals (ASX: TMB) has highlighted potential extensions to the lode gold system with significant shallow intersections at its Tambourah King target in the Pilbara region. The company has now received promising results from the completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Tambourah gold project, located 100 kilometres south-west of Marble Bar in WA’s north. The drilling program commenced in late August and comprised 11 holes including six RC drill holes, three diamond drill (DD) holes with RC pre-collars and two DD surface holes.

Tambourah Metals to target high-grade gold and critical minerals in new drilling campaign

West Australian explorer Tambourah Metals (ASX: TMB) is about to set off on a major program of proposed works within its significant portfolio of gold and critical minerals assets. At the Tambourah gold project, the company has commenced site preparations for drill planning and drone mapping following the completion of geological interpretation and targeting in the second quarter, with plans in place to complete a 12-hole program targeting extensions to the quartz lode-style vein system and the untested granite-greenstone contact (World’s Fair prospect). The program is being supported by a $75,000 Exploration Incentive Scheme co-funded drilling grant provided by the WA government.

Tambourah Metals identifies promising lithium anomalies in initial sampling at Haystack Well

Tambourah Metals (ASX: TMB) has unveiled high-grade lithium anomalies in its first-pass rock chip sampling at the recently acquired E46/1380 licence in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Initial examination of the licence, which contains the Russian Jack lithium project, has identified significantly elevated lithium, caesium and tantalum (LCT) values from an initial program comprising 41 samples. Executive chair Rita Brooks said the combination of elevated LCT and tin in rock samples, in addition to extensive historic soil geochemical lithium anomalies, confirms that the Haystack Well tenement is highly prospective for pegmatite-hosted LCT mineralisation.

Special Report: First assay results from Tambourah Metals’ RC program at the World’s Fair prospect, part of its namesake Pilbara project, have returned up to 8.6g/t gold. Earlier this month, TMB recorded the strongest mineralised intercept ever at the project; 5m at 6.1g/t gold from 69m (including 1m at 28g/t gold from 70-71m) at the Tambourah King prospect.

Tambourah Metals welcomes award of Achilles exploration incentive grant

The merit of Tambourah Metals’ (ASX: TMB) exploration strategy for its Achilles nickel project has been recognised with the company being awarded an EIS grant for co-funded drilling by the Western Australian government. Tambourah’s application was one of 36 recipients selected for the recent EIS co-funded drilling grants. The company is planning to commence its drilling campaign at Achilles, which is located in the district scale nickel sulphide region of north-east Laverton, from December 2023.
